Michael Lee Anaya was born to Michael LaVern Anaya and Isabel Aragon in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After he graduated from West Mesa High School, he went on to join the United States Navy to serve his country in Operation Desert Storm. His service allowed him to travel to places near and far, including Oak Harbor, Washington, Egypt, and Italy, to name a few. After the Navy, Michael joined the Police Department in West, Texas where he served in all units including SWAT, K-9, narcotics, street crimes, community response unit, detective work, and was also an instructor in the academy. Michael enjoyed coaching and playing baseball. He also enjoyed listening to music while grilling surrounded by family. He was passionate at everything he put his mind and heart to. He was loved and has positively impacted the lives of so many people.

Michael married Wendy Nguyen on March 9th, 2021. Even though it was a short time, his happiest time was with her. Spending time with Wendy brought him so much joy. Some of their favorite things to do was going on date night, watching sporting events, and simply being in each other’s company.
