MSG Ed Foshee
I
spoke with JD Bath this morning who informed me that Ed Foshee had
passed away. I called Cuc and she told me Ed had an infection from the
recent placement of a pace maker so they moved it to the other side of
his chest. He got to where he could not breathe and they found he had
fluid in his lungs, a biopsy was performed and they discovered he had
stage 4 lung cancer. After a time he was getting around well, had a
good apatite and told them he did not want to be in a hospital or
hospice so they let him go home.
Larry Sills and Sonny Sonsel flew down and spent time with Ed but left Saturday, Ed passed away at 0200 Sunday Father's Day.
Ed was a fine Special Forces Trooper, Delta Medic, very generous to Delta when we first began our SOAR gatherings in 2001. He and Cuc donated untold amounts of money to the Vietnamese Community in their life time. Ed was a big man with a gentle heart, loved his daughter Elizabeth, his dogs, horses and cows. Was happiest on his ranch surrounded by development near the Disney World in Florida.
Cuc texted me mid afternoon that services for MSG Edgar Foshee are scheduled Sunday 24 June 2018 from 1200 to 1400 at Osceola Memorial Gardens, 2000 13th Street, Saint Cloud, Florida. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to the Green Beret Foundation.
May our Brother Rest in Everlasting Peace
Respectfully,
Chester Howard
